Medical abortion after 9 weeks?
If you have been pregnant for more than 9 weeks and want to get an abortion using Misoprostol (Cytotec – 200mcg) this medication will work and cause an abortion.
You can have an abortion until the limit of 12 weeks. After this period, we do not recommend to perform a medical abortion.
The medical abortion is a procedure that can be safely done until the limit of 12 weeks. Some women get abortions between the 12th and 14th week, but that is not recommended.
This process can be performed after 9 weeks of pregnancy. However, it demands some special care because the period that range between the 9th and 12th week usually comes with a slightly higher risk of complications.
