Can I eat after taking Cytotec?
If you feel hungry and that you need to eat something during the procedure, then you can grab something light like fruit or water.
You can cat after taking Cytotec. However, since Misoprostol (Cytotec – 200mcg) may cause nausea and vomiting, we suggest you to take the medication while being unfed.
Don’t drink alcohol or take any drugs when having the abortion with Misoprostol (Cytotec – 200mcg). Take the medication during a fast.
If your stomach is full, the risk of vomiting and expeling the pills you’ve ingested will be higher. If this happens, as a consequence, your abortion may fail. It is not worth taking that risk.
You should fast properly for at least 6 hours. If possible, we suggest fasting for 8 to 10 hours before using the pills. This fasting should be total. This means no solids or liquids whatsoever.
After taking the pills, we suggest you to fast for another six hours. Before starting the abortion process, keep in mind that alcoholic drinks and drugs can affect your judgment. Thus, we suggest you to stay away from them for one week.
